Suggestion: If you want to invite someone to your LinkedIn network, do it to the PERSON and not the group. Yes it’s true that today’s job-market is theoretically social networking friendly, though my personal opinion is it’s mostly an “approved” phishing scam, but blasting one to the group is a good way to receive a scathing “Thou Shalt Not” from Olympu … oops I mean OSR … J.

could be an honest mistake too…the OP has posted quite a few legit
questions in the past, may be he tried joining linked in and it asked
whether he wanted to import his contacts from Gmail and send out mass
invites…
