Hello,
I have a situation where I need to make sure that the file system cache
is cleaned (invalidated).
Here is my scenario:
- do a flush command for a volume
- un mount the volume
- do some changes to the volume data on another computer
- Mount the volume in the system again
What I get now is the old data on the volume, the cache still holds the
old data, and was not invalidated…
Any suggestions? Would a Lock to the volume before un mount will help
here?
Thanks,
Yohai Merzel

Invalidate File System cache in Windows server 2003 Update the Volume Serial Number in the FS’s volume descriptor (sector 0) - and this will cease.
