I have an installable file system.
After I make a right button click on a drive and choose format A dialog box is shown. Its file system combo box gives a choice only between NTFS ans FAT. Is there any way to add my file system name in this combo ?
I will appreciate any help!

This is a problem which is really very hard to solve without Microsoft’s
help.

There is a dynamic link library for every file system in NT (like
untfs.dll, ufat.dll
and uhpfs.dll in 3.51), but the interface of the FS helper DLL is not
documented
and is a subject to change (and uhpfs.dll from NT 3.51 really doesn’t
work under NT 4).

Also the?relation between the FS helper DLL and the file system isn’t
documented.

Every FS helper DLL uses both ulib.dll and ifsutil.dll. Those DLLs are
really C++
and they (together with the FS helper itself) export whole lot of
methods for many
classes. I think the reverse engineering of the interface will be a
really hard work.

Maybe some boy from Microsoft?can tell use more about this topic
(but I don’t believe it :-))
