inf2cat bustage. thoughts?

Running U:\wdk\8.1\bin\x86\inf2cat.exe /os:7_x64 /VERBOSE
/driver:R:\src\xxx\yyy\x64\Win7Release\package gets

“The integrity check for the Windows file protection data file
‘U:\wdk\8.1\bin\x86\WindowsProtectedFiles.xml’ has failed.”

Have repaired and reinstalled the WDK, checked files with SFC and still
nada. This crops up in one or two Google hits but I’m not keen on the
suggested ‘solution’, which involves a symlink to the same file in 8.0 WDK.

TIA.

Which version(s) of VS do you have installed and which version of the WDK in them? Do you have both WDK 8.0 and WDK 8.1 installed? Because, at least at one point, I remember there being SxS problems. And the 8.1 WDK is only supposed to be supported on VS 2013.

For Chris:

INELUCTABLE MODALITY OF THE VISIBLE: AT LEAST THAT IF NO MORE, thought through my eyes. Signatures of all things I am here to read, seaspawn and seawrack, the nearing tide, that rusty boot. Snotgreen, bluesilver, rust: coloured signs. Limits of the diaphane. But he adds: in bodies.

Peter, thank you.

Aii. At least 4 version of VS on a W7x64 machine. WDK 8 and 8.1. The driver
in question is being built with V2103. And inf2cat + friends were quite
happy last visit in May.

Should I infer suggested removal of 8.0?
