In the right place ?

Is this a group for a discussion related to Open Source Software?
Or is it something related to windows driver development ?
Want to know whether iam in the right place .

Really not the right place.

It is a hot button for some of us (including myself) when it comes up, sorry to say.

Appologies :frowning:

Right place, wrong time.

Welcome to usenet/listserv. These flames occur, on a variety of topics,
every couple of months or so. They tend to burn themselves out, or people
get sick of it (including the list slaves) and call for an end to the
discussion within about 24 hours.

It can be annoying, but it’s not a bad thing, really. People get to vent.
Plus, the list has lots of really smart, erudite, members from all over the
world, who have a wide variety of views. Personally, I think it’s totally
cool to watch the interaction. Rarely have I seen such a wide array of views
so intelligently stated (I’ve been particularly impressed with this on-going
flame), often in a language that is not the poster’s native language (damn!
It’s hard enough to make a cogent argument in one’s own NATIVE language).
Not that all the postings are intelligent, of course. The list slaves, if
they’re paying attention, will not let it get too far out of control.

If it annoys you because it’s off topic, we apologize. Set your news reader
or email rules to filter the offending topic. It’ll be done shortly.

What an interesting way to start off long wkend for some of us !!!. Hope you
have terra bytes to burn.

Particularly I liked Bill’s wording. Just label it, see the havoc. Yes we
have to have a label, otherwise how do we argue, or make mass beliver. Thanx
Bill, very much along the wave…

Remember Hardy, he was an UK-mathematicain. In his book, A mathematician’s
apology, he had a line “The minute you think someone is superior you are
…”. I think everyone with their right mind understand what it means.

For now, I’m thinking to start lifting some weights, because I’ve been
living in California for last 10 yrs, before another 10 yrs in east coast.
And Mr Arnold is ready to fix the worlds’ 5th largest economy. Sure I need
to swim along the flow of stream. Smart thinking I suppose. just label
myself …

My pray to god for my self is ::: IT’S BETTER TO BE STUPID THAN RATIONAL.

Hello,

Iam implementing a TDI Client under Windows 98.
I had been working with TDI Client implementations under Win NT / 2000
But while compiling with nmake utility …Linkage error is coming
Is that we cant directly call the functions like TDIConnect and all from the
VxD.
In Nt are having such facilities to implement the TDI Client.
Is there anyway to implement a similar thing with 98 .

Regards,

Prasad.
