Hi all
I have an issue with NT IMSAMP, running over a dialup connection via a router. When NetBT is set to p-node, no packets are sent through the IMSAMP driver, However, if you manually add to the IPAddress, and SubnetMask in the registry of the dialup machine, Browsing then works a treat… A bit of a problem however when using DHCP… Has anybody seen this problem, and or have any ideas as to the nature of the problem, binding issues, fixed version of the oemsetup.inf. etc…
Steve

Hi folks,
I am trying to connect a modem on my virtual COM port. but the wizard
doesn’t show the my virtual port at all. Do i need to add a registry key
inorder to make it visible to modem wizard ???. where from the wizard gets
the information abt the ports installed on the m/c. when i run the wizard,
it’s sending the IOCTLs to my virtual port also along with the legacy
ports… but, it’s not showing it in the port selection menu. any kind of
help on this is highly desirable…
Thanks in advance,
-Naveen

Network connection wizard gets the information about COM port from Reg and show it.
So, You need to add your COM port information to Regstry that’s path is
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
- HARDWARE
- DEVICEMAP
- SERIALCOMM
You’d better find how to add your COM port information to registry.
