I have a GeForce 9600 card, my PC runs Windows XP SP3. When XP booting with two monitors connected to to video card, I can enable DualView by NVIDIA controller pannel.
If I connect the second monitor after XP has started, there is no DualView item in the NVIDIA control pannel. I have to restart the computer to enable DualView.
I found display in dualview mode which is unlike other view mode for two monitors (vspan hspan and clone ) need windows desktop setting page found two monitors. But it seems that WinXP cann’t change that after it was started.
Is there a way to always enable the second video port even no display was connected when XP boots up? Just like most laptop does.

You’ll have to ask NVIDIA - it is hardware and driver specific behaviour
to allow the extra outputs to be enabled even if no monitor is detected.
