how to discard changed data for mapped file

Gentlefolk

This might be a little off topic but I hope someone can point me in the
right direction …

I have a mapped file … ZwCreateFile … ZwCreateSection …
ZwMapViewOfSection … and am about to call ZwUnmapViewOfSection … ZwClose
… ZwClose … there are changed pages so to speak in the view which will be
written to disk. I want to avoid these changed pages
being written to disk; discard the changed data. Is there any way at all to
acheive this effect and if so how?

Thanks in advance
Lyndon

If you are in a filter, then simply drop the flushed pages on the floor,
completing the requests successfully.

Peter

Thanks. Sorry. I should have said. This is the solution I seek to avoid. I
do not have a filter in sight when I want this to happen.

Cheers
