Hello,
I’m writing a win 2000 driver.
I have to access ports/ registers of a management controller on motherboard.
I know how to access registers & memory on PCI card device. This was done by
getting and IrpSp->Parameters.StartDevice.AllocatedResourcesTranslated
structure obtained from IRP_MN_START_DEVICE.
Can I get the resources of the controller chip on motherboard in the same
way ?
Thanks & Regards,
Aparna

You can access motherboard resources the same way. Assuming
they are actually on a PCI bus nothing changes, if they are fixed
you will need to create your INF file to identify the fixed resources
of the device.

You have to identify controller chip as a PCI device and work as
it is simple pci target.
