How can I get a notify which tell me the user remove the floppy disk from floppy dirver.

hi guys,
How can I get a notify which tell me the user
remove the floppy disk from floppy dirver.
I wish I can get a message or register a callback
function entry point. (I do not like to make a looop
to access the floppy time and time.)
Thanks.

Best Regards
Jansen Zhu,.

Sorry, dude. Short of modifying the hardware and/or the file system, it
can’t be done.

The floppy doesn’t generate an interrupt or anything when the user ejects
it. So, in fact, the floppy driver doesn’t even know when a floppy’s there.

Nice design, the “IBM compatible PC”, isn’t it?

hi peter.
Thanks for your message. I think your message
is very important information for me.
I also wish to know the follow question.

  1. whether I can make a loop to got the status of
floppy disk. I think I have ever use a software
“hd-copy” in dos. which can format the disk automaticly,
while you insert the disk in to driver.
  2. I think cdrom have notify about inserting and releasing
disk. I will try to use the action soon.
    Thanks a lot.

Best Regards,
Jansen Zhu.
