HLK driver testing

First time using the HLK.

Everything is setup and pinging between server and client. Client install was fine. @ questions:

  1. my client is Win 11 pro 24H2, but the HLK studio reports it as Win 10 pro. Is that an issue?
  2. I get the same error on all my PNP testing.
Error 11/20/2024 12:02:38.826 PM [HRESULT 0x8007007F] An error occurred during TAEF startup. (Failed to load the custom test mode DLL at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10\Testing\Runtimes\TAEF\x64\TE.TestMode.Container.dll".) WexTraceInfo ThreadId=8528 ProcessId=4828 TimeStamp=2636871189 LogSessionId=0 SessionTraceCount=2
    WexContext TAEF

All the files are in the right spot on the client.

Not sure where to go from here

Thanks!

Did you ever find a solution for this? I'm just starting out with the HLK and am seeing the exact same thing on the simplest INF test.

I have seen variations (different log files but the same problem) of this on different forums never with an answer. I have solved it for myself so here is a possible/likely solution.

The HLK Server and Client requirements both require a 300GB hard drive for log files. I had a 120GB on the client. I swapped this but also reinstalled my Windows image from scratch. The solution was almost certainly the drive size alone but Microsoft recommends reinstalling OS and software from scratch where all else fails.
