How do you pass the HCT tests when the 3rd party library you used to
develop your driver is failing in a HCT DV test? Case in point, the
KDriver::DriverIrpDispatch call is returning without passing down,
completing, or returning STATUS_PENDING. This is Compuware’s bug, in
DriverStudio 3.2. The caveat may be that I have not conditioned PNP
correctly when I created later objects. I’ll check that, but if I have set
things correctly, the only solution I have is to overload their faulty
code and do PNP correctly.
Thanks Compuware … simply another nail in your coffin here at Seagate.

Oh, come on Gary some of us are getting business from people who want their
drivers to do things like pass the HCT’s, not get complaints from PreFast
and other static tools, run clean under Driver Verifier and CUV, etc.
Compuware is providing jobs to part of the industry, with having a tool kit
that fails all the above, and forcing people to get things rewritten to not
use the Compuware.

Well you can add SMBios to you list of crap Don that might give you some
business. I’ve known for weeks they left debug print in their released
build, but yesterday I found out they also don’t do PnP correctly. They
fail HCT 12.1 testing. It seems to run the tests I have to run to qualify
our new FDE drive and my drivers, SMBios winds up in the test list, and
fails, 'orribly
