Are there any plans to down port FilterManager framework to W2K?
If yes, are there any schedules, estimates?
Such information is very valuable, when decision must be taken which way to
go, if product must run on W2K too.
With Best Regards Primoz

Primoz,
Yes, we are porting the filter manager to the W2K environment.
We are going to announce at the IFS PlugFest next week the details of
our release plan for filter manager support on W2K. After the PlugFest
I will send the same information to NTFSD. Note that PlugFest attendees
will be able to take home with them a beta of the W2K filter manager
support. We will make that beta available to others after the PlugFest.

So, now that the party has died down … is the W2K redistributable
available somewhere? (I groped around the WHDC site to no avail…)
Thanks,
Ken

This is filter managers W2K release story:
As you have probably heard Microsoft is going to release a “Security
Rollup Patch” for W2K SP4
(http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/server/evaluation/news/bulletins/r
ollup.asp). Filter manager is going to be a part of the SRP release.
The beta for the SRP will start in mid January (very soon).
Do the following to signup for the SRP beta:
Go to: http://beta.microsoft.com
Guest ID: Win2kURPTest (this is case sensitive)
The SRP is scheduled for release in Q2 2005.
