I’m new to drivers as i’m a highlevel software guy. I’ve recently been handed a project with an extinct DIO board that needs to be replaced. I’m trying to go about this on budgeted time regarding research.
So Were replacing an extinct parellel DIO card with an existing standard DIO card with drivers.
I’m just wondering if there is a typical model of a filter driver to emulate the application interface using the companion physical i/o driver for the new parellel dio card. Our filter driver will require some data manipulation from the application to the new dio card as the ports are different. I can’t change the appliction unfortunately because a good portion of it is 3rd party and extinct as well. Any suggestions would be great.
