Event 10317, NDIS

Hi,
I deal with Intel chipset 82574 problem on Win 2012R2 OEM server:
Loss of Ethernet port connectivity occurs and we see in Event Viewer windows log error with NDIS 10317 PnP event.
The general information that shown in Event Viewer is:
“Miniport Intel(R) 82574L Gigabit Network connection, had event Fatal error: The miniport has detected an internal error.”
The connectivity is back only after resetting the server.
The problem doesn’t occurs on WIN7.
Can someone help with this problem or give some ideas?
Thanks,
Alexandra.

No one here is going to be able to help. You need to contact Intel’s
technical support.

You don’t see this event on Windows 7 because we only added event 10317 in Windows 8.1. Prior to that, the same condition would occur without any event log message from NDIS.

The event means that the Intel driver called the NdisMRemoveMiniport API. The operating system doesn’t know why the 3rd party driver decided to call that API. Ideally the 3rd party driver should also log a message that has more detail.

Ok,
Thanks!
