dump file for NT

By the time I started driver programming days of NT4 gone, yet I got a
BSOD support call who just tried our product. I don’t know how to
configure system to generate dump file as is done for W2K\XP. Initial
search shows there are something by Dr. Watson utility. Is there any other
way than Watson util? If not should it be better to enable all options in
Watson utility to get full coverage? After I get the user.dmp file will it
work in WinDBG? Does symbol server support NT4 SP6?
Please help me.

Thanks,
Hablu

If you are talking about kernel dump, it is same as 2K/XP get into
system settings and set your options to create memory.dmp file and make
sure the pagefile is at least 1.5 times the size of RAM.
Yes my recent experience, symbol server supports NT4 SP6, I just
debugged a dump couple of hours before using windbg and symbol server.
