DrvTextOut - Character Spacing, Position of string

After reading documentation about DrvTextOut and its related structures and callbacks, I’m still very confused in terms of what I should focus on if I want to retrieve information about character spacing. Also, I’m aware that I can retrieve the string content to be printed in pgp member of the pstro member of the parameter list of the callback, but I’m still confused on where I need to focus on in order to obtain the position of the string. Any comments/pointers would be muchly appreciated.

Am I wrong that STROBJ has separate coordinates for each glyph?
