Hello
What can you say about subject?
Is it possible to compile/debug kernel mode components with VS .NET IDE?
And if possible - HOW???
Best Regards,
Dmitry Fleytman

Yep. Use the DDKBUILD.BAT (http://www.osr.com/ntinsider/2002/ddkbuild.zip) from OSR. Or write your own (I use my own).
The point is to make VS to run BUILD utility (via custom build step), but not it’s own compiler.

For what? Windows DDK has its own compiler and linker.
Stop searching for adventures for your body parts :-), the kernel-mode programming is exciting enough even without it.

The subject was discussed many time on the list. Max, I want to say “Many
people – many minds”. If one setup VS IDE to use build.exe included in DDK
(which is not difficult at all as it was discussed and described many times
and many tools where designed for that) you do not loos anything. I use VS
.NET IDE, use VS 6 IDE before and I will never go back. VS is setup to use
build.exe, and I have “sources” and “dirs” file. And if someone in my
company wants to build my driver (only one person builds official versions
here), he can use DDK console.
