DriverPackageUninstall retains SYS files on win7 and above

All,

This is not a new issue, and there are several posts on this on osr and else
where.

It seems that starting win7 MSFT doesnt remove the sys files for PNP devices
using the above API.

Is there a way to make this API remove the sys file?

What is the purpose of keeping a stray file in the system?

best regards

ami

Because it will speed things up if the device comes back later, and disk
space is free.

And backup space? And the time you need to do it?

so I should just let my file remain, that doesnt seem to be the right
thing to do, but if that is what MSFT suggests, maybe I should…
