Where can I find more information on driver signing? And can someone
please explain the process just a bit for me using one syllable words? I
take it the driver actually has to go to Microsoft and they bless it? Once
blessed, how does one distribute the driver?
Thanks,
Michael

Speaking of which except for drivers that ship with the OS
I have yet to see a signed driver in any of the products
I personally use. I thought Microsoft was planning on
distributing the drivers themselves through their update
system as a reward if you paid the toll and got your drivers
signed. I have yet to see any third party drivers on the MS
update site.

I think ‘signing’ and ‘make available for online update’ are related but
not the same. A driver available for online update must be signed, but
signed drivers do not have to be made available for online update.

MS should make driver signing just that, signing, instead of
WHQL verification.
