Driver performance profiling

Hi,

We’re looking for ways to do some performance tuning on our driver. Can you
give us some hints or tips ? Has anyone used Mark Russinovich’s article
“Performance Instrumenting Device drivers” (
http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/info/sysperf.shtml ) for this purpose ?

Thanks,
Bartjan Wattel.

Bartjan:

NuMega has a tool (TrueTime, driver edition) that is part of their
DriverStudio package. Although it was way beyond my expectations (I was very
impressed with their Win32 version of TrueTime) it’s still very useful and
gives you a lot
of insights on where the performance bottlenecks are. It’s expensive, though
:frowning:

Regards,

Vladimir
