Driver installation fails after upgrading to XP SP2

Hi all,

I have created a WDM video capture driver which is based on the TESTCAP
example driver in the Windows 2003 DDK.

After installing XP SP2 the driver installation fails. The driver itself
works under SP2 - I know this since I installed it under SP1 and it
continued to work after upgrading to SP2 - but the installation fails under
SP2.

I have tried installing with the “Add Hardware Wizard”, with the devcon
example and in my own Win32 app in which the UpdateDriverForPlugAndPlay call
fails and the last error is 0xd which is ERROR_INVALID_DATA.

I tried the same thing with an unmodified TESTCAP sample and it can not be
installed either.

Does anyone have an idea why I am getting this error?

If someone else with an XP SP2 machine could try and install the TESTCAP
sample I would appreciate it.

Thanks!

Johan
