Driver for all versions of Windows?

Hi,

If I create a Unidrv Minidriver like the OEMUNI sample, will it work on all
the versions of windows (Win 95/98/NT/2K/ME/XP…)? How can I write a
virtual printer driver that will work on all versions of windows?

Thanks,

Sam

The print architecture has changed so many times from Win95 to the
current Win2K3.
I don’t think you can write a driver that works on all the platforms.

Whats the virtual printer driver for ?

Hi Girish,

Thanks for replying.

The virtual driver is for generating EMF output files. How different will
the code be for each platform. What is the architecture that I’ll have to
follow for each of the OS?

Sam,
The print architecture is well documented in the DDK.
The DDK Samples are a good starting point too…
