Hi All,
I used Dpinst.exe to install my driver package, a entry got created in Add or remove programs.
Issue:
When I Uninstalled my driver package from Control Panel -> Add or remove programs, the entry got removed and the corresponding inf file gets deleted. But when I plug-in my device again ( after uninstalling from add or remove programs), the device get detected and I can see my device in “Device Manger” and property section with “Device working properly” . But I cant see any “setupApi.log” for this?
-
What Will be the reason for this and from where the driver gets loaded again, even after uninstallation? Is this this the right behavior?
-
The same application is working fine in Windows XP and Not working in Windows 7. What Should I do to make this work in Windows 7? Please Advice…
The below is the dpinst.log for Uninstallation :

Do you ininstall the *package*, or it still sits there in the driver store?

I installed the driver package using “Dpinst.exe” and uninstalled it from
the “Add or remove programs”. There is no oem.inf in inf folder and there
is no driver files in the “DRIVERSTORE”. But still when I plug the device
the driver get installed. That is the issue I am facing right now and this
happens only in windows 7 and windows vista, and the uninstallation works
fine in windows xp as expected.
