Can anyone let me know the difference between all the 5-versions of NDIS,like where exactly i get difference between all these NDIS2.0,NDIS3.0,NDIS4.0 & NDIS5.0?
any suggestion is helpful.

Microsoft has stopped support for NDIS 3.0 and below in Windows XP
(Whistler). Meaning you can't load drivers compatible with NDIS 3.0 in XP.
So far technical differences in NDIS_XXX_CHARS between these versions refer
to DDK documentation ... they have come out with new handler functions ...

"Full MAC" drivers were NDIS 3.0 MAC drivers (i.e., "not miniport") that used NT-specific kernel APIs. These are were supported on Windows NT and are NOT supported on XP.

Older kind of NIC drivers which do all synchronization and all protocol binding databases themselves instead of relying on NDIS.SYS.
Obsoleted in NT4, support dropped in XP.
