device type

Hi,

Is it possible to know the type of device (eg USB harddisk, or PCMCIA hard
disk or flash memory, CDROM, or floppy etc) based on the drive letter?
Or get the deviceobject pointer?

Hi,

thanks for your reply.

But DeviceObject->DeviceType will be give Disk for USB hard disk, PCMCIA
hard disk, Flash memory and IDE hard disk so I think I can’t use this to
differentiate the different type of hard disk.
