developing redirector for ftp

hi all,

i am trying to develop the file system network redirector based on smbrmx for ftp. my aim is to connect to ftp server ( running in different OS ) located in local network or any where in the world and mount it as a disk or volume into my local machine.

Is that i am in correct way or is their any easier method to do so?

thanks in advance,

What you want to do here, if it already is a FTP server, one can get ftp
client and problem solved.
For exposing it as a disk, you will have to implement iSCSI (for which I
think already quite a lot vendors are there)

May be you would like to clarify more on what is the problem here and what
you want to solve.

Regards
Deepak
