deleting drivers during uninstall

Does anyone know if there is an official policy about whether or not to
delete driver binaries during an uninstall process?

I.e. if we delete files NT’s Last Known Good Configuration will bug check
(since we’re a boot driver). Therefore, I believe driver binaries (for boot
device drivers) should never be deleted. I’m just trying to see if there’s
an official position.

The official position is not to delete the driver binaries. Several
people wanted to delete the binaries for several different reasons. They
can do that by refcounting the usage of INF file in their coinstaller
and when the last uninstall of their device happens, they can delete the
driver.
