DDK Uninstall

Why does it take 20 minutes of constant disk grinding, rendering the
computer virtually unusable, to uninstall one of the Vista DDKs? I can
do an “rmdir /s” and manually remove the registry entries in about 60
seconds.

I understand that uninstallation is not typically among your top
optimization candidates, but 20 minutes is ridiculous.

Indeed. I spent half a day removing old Vista WDK builds. Meanwhile DTM
(our friend DTM) requires one to uninstall the entire currently
installed WDK to install a new version of DTM.
