DbgMon Problem

When i am running DbgMon utiliy, it gives me error “Unable to load and start
DbgMon.sys driver”, when i downloaded DbgMon zip file from OSROnline i got only
exe inside zip file not any driver…
So how can i get it or can i start working with getting debug message without
using kernal mode debugger “debugger.exe”, Is there any other utility for doing
the same…

Thanks in advance

Please don’t cross post to ntdev and ntfsd. Good luck on getting someone to
help you out now…

Try running it from a local drive, rather than a network drive - drivers
cannot be loaded from a network driver (and the driver is embedded in
the exe file.)

And follow the rules in the future and don’t cross-post.

Maybe you are not running it as administrator or have the SeLoadDriver
privilege disabled.

I think that the advice below should correct the situation, but since
you asked, DbgMon.EXE contains the driver embedded as resource. To
install it, it just extracts it, copies it to the system folder, and
then everything proceeds from there.
