I know this might not be the right group to post this
question to but I know that there are many people here
that are very knowledgeable of Microsoft security
mechanisms.
I am up against the wall here on this problem.
I am unable to load custom authentication package on
several of my test systems (running win2000sp4). The
Dll that contains the package does not show up among
loaded dlls in lsass.exe process address space after
the reboot.
I have loaded this package on bunch of other systems
without any problems before.
The steps are simple:
- Add package name to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\Authentication
Packages - place the package into /system32 directory
Does anyone know if there are certain settings
(somewhere in the registry) that can prevent LSASS.exe
from loading custom authentication packages.
Or is it possible that one of the latest Microsoft
security patches just done away with Custom
Authentication packages all together.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
- Jeff
