conditional compilation

Hi
I have a dll which needs to be compiled on Win2000 and NT.
The SDK Documentation says that I should have defined
_WIN32_WINNT as 0x400 in my code.The code compiles but my
DLL does not Load.

I saw a sample which looks like below

#define _WIN32_WINNT 0x400

#if( _WIN32_WINNT >= 0x0500 )
Function1()
{
This is only under Win2k or xp
}
#endif

But this does not work for me.How do I use this directive.

Don’t you see the condition is always false? Remove #define away.
