Assuming I run at boot-time in a clone of SMSS.EXE, how would I call
the functions from the BOOTVID.DLL that ships with the recovery con-
sole (i.e. with Windows) to establish textmode and provide mechanism
to show strings (even colored strings)?
Or would I have to write my own version of BOOTVID.DLL to initialise
text mode and display strings?
Does anyone have the declarations plus meaning of parameters for the
functions to be handled in an own version of BOOTVID.DLL?
Thanks in advance,
Oliver
PS: I know that this is not actually referring to FS development, but
I’m convinced this is the only newsgroup for questions referring
to kernel mode stuff.

InbvEnableDisplayString switches the screen, then ZwDisplayString
prints strings.
