For those people that use “BroadcastSystemMessage” … I have noticed that the function does not work anymore on Vista wenn called from within the message pump of a driver property page provider ( for example : “F:\WINDDK\6000\src\setup\pnpports” ) . It starts working again wenn you create a separate thread and call it from within that thread. Creating a new ( hidden ) window and calling the function from within that window doesn’t work either.
