another wake on lan problem

Our NIC can be waked up by magic packet from “shutdown” mode under win2000.

But, under WinMe and Win98, it failed.

I used the same driver for Win2000 and Win98/Me.

Is there any difference on the “shutdown” mode between Win2000 and Win9x?

driver routine and system configuration?

Thanks in advance for any comment.

Hi, everyone
I am testing the WOL function of a NIC. My Test PC is: GigaByte 6BXE
MainBoard, Intel 440BX chipset.

The problem is : Under Win2000 shutdown mode, all wakeup events(magic
packet, wakeup frame(ping) and Link change) work well. but under Win98/Me
shutdown mode, only magic packet is available. I use the same driver on
98/me/2k.

Any comment and instruction are appreciated.

Best Regards
