AHCI Port register

Hi all,

i am using PCIe SSD card with AHCI controller, i use to plug the card while normal running?
AHCI WILL SUPPORT hot plug and play?

  1. what would happen in driver flow?i would call atahwadapter of stop minor function?
  2. if i read the port register of AHCI Controller, what value i get ?
  3. how could user can get information that device is gone or present in the system

Hot plug should be fine, hot unplug will be problematic.
