Ahci code in winddk 7

Is the src in the storage example section of winddk 7 is compatible with the
win 7 default driver?

I have personally edited it and replaced the stock msahci.sys for my own work, if that’s what you mean. It’s not complete since MSFT removes some stuff before placing the source in the WDK but it’s functional enough for your needs I’d wager.

I was thinking to replace the inbox driver… Looking at src scared me a bit though. It would surely hep me to debug some of the ahci controller(s), I am seeing some odd behavior.

Oh, btw, I never liked any of the examples ( the way they are written ) in the storage stack examples ( be it disk, be it classpnp, be it msahci …). They should be filtered thru the codecop to see what I mean.

But then these are examples that if I know are useful to debug some special cases, then that surely helps …
