This might be one for the a/v folk. I want to strengthen the a/v interop
testing I am performing with our filter driver in particular the behaviour
when the a/v product discovers viruses. The eicar test virus is somewhat
useful in this respect in that it is representative of viruses which the a/v
products can not clean from infected files and are quarantined; this allows
us to test one behaviour. It would be very useful to have a test virus which
is representative of viruses the a/v products can clean from infected files;
this allows us to test another behaviour.
I seem to have difficulties getting hold of such a test virus which the a/v
products can remove from infected files. So the question is, can someone,
perhaps from the a/v folk, point me in the direction of such a test virus -
just a test pattern?
