I am doing a new private network protocol driver for win2k. You know a ethernet header is 14 bytes length. And the
first 12 bytes is mac hardware address of the source and destine host. From the 13th byte there is a word size field for
protocol definition such as IP(0x8000), ARP(0x0806) etc. My new protolcol takes the value(0x1000). The problem is how
can I tell win2k to route any packet with such protocol type to my private protocol object and route any other packet to
their protocol stack as usual.
Hi
Take a look on OID_GEN_CURRENT_PACKET_FILTER description in DDK doc’s.
