802.11 broadcast transmit rate

Is there any way to force a STA to use a higher rate to transmit Broadcast
frames?
i.e. is it possible to limit the BSSBasicRateSet to a unique high rate?
I know that this would mean loosing backward compatibility, but it’s not a
problem for me.

May the optional OID_802_11_DESIRED_RATES make something similar?
If my protocol sets OID_802_11_DESIRED_RATES to a certain rate, does this
affect only my binding or it reflects on every protocol using the same MAC?

Thanks

This is card dependent…

No…That OID is mostly used as a query not as a
set…
