3790.1414 doesn't produce .bsc file

W2K3 SP1 IFS Kit (3790.1414) doesn’t produce “source browser file” (.bsc) but 3790 does. Somebody knows about this.

Hi Mani

I noticed a similar problem but if you clear the NO_BROWSER_FILE
environment variable and set BROWSER_INFO=1, the browse files are still
generated for build 3790.1414.

Regards

Mark

This link refers to the Windows 2003 SP1 DDK. With this DDK, the problem
can be solved by passing bscmake as an argument on the SETENV command
line. This doesn’t appear to work within the IFS build environment
(though it is a documented argument) so these environment variables need
to be set manually.

It works just fine. If you are using SlickEdit then it calls the setenv
batch file with their own options first and it pollutes the environment.

Hmmm, not sure why it didn’t work for me when I did this then. I have
other drivers that use the 2003 SP1 DDK and these work fine with the
bscmake switch - it was only in the IFS build environment that it
failed. I couldn’t have misspelled it because setenv rejects any
invalid arguments so perhaps it was an error in my sources file… I’ll
have to revisit this when I get chance.

Thanks for the update.

Mark
