Minifilter cache

While it has been two years since I wrote this filter driver, my
recollection of the experience is to the contrary - that Filter Manager
blocks my filter from unloading until all my driver-allocated memory
(including contexts) have been torn down. It’s certainly possible the
world has changed (it keeps happening, which makes the field constantly
interesting and yet frustrating all at the same time.)

Tony

walk the instance lists and tear everything down…)"

No neeed in this afaik filter manager will remvoe your contexts and call

your context cleanup routines during FltUnregisterFilter.

Such is life.

Huh? comparing the complexities of life to asynchronous I/O? Are you
calling life cheap?

Not sure what that above statement meant, all I can say is that life is
golden and your a friend
