And unless someone can give me some sort of irrefutable evidence that it absolutely can’t be done, I won’t listen on the basis of the fact that the OS recognizes that those buttons are being pressed, and one of them held down causes the ctrl-alt-del action to be performed.
Well, of course it CAN be done, but there is information you need that
is not easily available. How, for example, are you going to know that
one of the magic keys has been pressed? They’re probably not coming
across as scan codes. There’s some kind of BIOS communication going
on. Unless you know how to do that BIOS communication, you won’t know
what to put IN to your driver.
