WinDbg in DDK, not WinDbgX ... why?

I’m 99% sure I know the answer to this already, but to settle a discussion I wanted more input on this …

As we all know, a few years ago MS released a “prettified” version of WinDbg called WinDbgX … this version had a different look and feel and was only through the MS store and was blessed with MS’s “full support” …

In the meantime the DDK continued to churn along, happily shipping with the “old” WinDbg in the \debugger folder and being updated along the way. Is there a technical reason why the DDK team is not including WinDbgX in the DDK (other than the silly MS store thing, of course)

Thx!

The left hand knows not what the right hand does.

AFAICT windbagex is orphaned. It wasn’t awful, I did actually use it for a
while. The problem is ‘store’. Suppose you are on a server system, store
*anything* is just a problem to begin with.
