If you choose to use DIFx anyway, you must use an older WDK which contains the tools and you should be aware of a couple caveats:
Last I check there was not plan to deprecate the DifX support in Wix. But I learnt over 25 years ago that it is usually a long and losing battle to try to do things which although technically possible are deprecated by Microsoft.
So, what are other people using to install filesystem drivers? Is there some technology I have missed? Have I got the wrong end of the stick (I have not a clue how DifX works - I just use the WiX support) I hope so. It would be a real shame to have to go back to doing the rundll thing.
