Forcing XP/Win7 style SMB?

Hello,

For an internal solution, we are having an issue for an audit filter,
when both sides of a Windows SMB share are Windows 8 or above (Windows 2008
R2/8/8.1/10/2012).
Is there any way we can trick the Lanman that at least one side is
Windows 7 or earlier? Via programmign code or registry or some settings?
