Did you say that the Destination MAC address you were ‘sending’ to was the current MAC address of the NIC over which you are sending?

Are you expecting that to ‘loopback’ or some such?

It seems pretty reasonable to me that some IDP Filter at the MAC level might think it rather odd that something was trying to send to itself.

You have a Notify Object to manage migrating protocol bindings from the lower adapter(s) to the upper adapter(s) right? So why not manage and migrate *all* bindings (including LWFs) in that operation?

Oh, I missunderstood (sorry Jeffery). The BindView operation was to uninstall the filter, not unbind.

More coffee required.

I think it is odd and confusing to “send” to the MAC address of the NIC overwhich you are sending.
