I just upgraded from W8 to W8.1 (from app store) and now I get a KERNEL_AUTO_BOOST_INVALID_LOCK_RELEASE from a audio wdm driver I've written which works without problems in xp, w7 and w8 (32 and 64 bit). Unfortunately I didn't find any further information about the cause for this stop code, but it seems to me, I'm not the only one who is watching this stop code since a upgrade from W8 to W8.1 and it also seems to be related not only to Audio, but to different kind of drivers?

I think some more information about the reason for this stop code could help me fixing it.
