Generic question on rdr2

Hello everyone.

I wonder if anybody had a close look at rdr2 for W2K and can share some
impressions with me?
In particular, I’m interested in hearing an opinion about possibility of
using this technology to write
custom (not disk - based, for example) file system drivers. With rdr on NT,
as far as I remember,
developer had to implement a full-scale file system driver anyway because of
rdr’s monolithic architecture.
From what I could get from the IFS Kit notes (quickly, without digging dip
into samples), the rdr2 wrapper
implements some common file system functionality and leaves “specifics” to
rdr2 miniport. So, the broad
question would be, considering a full-scale FSD as 100% how much of that
work is done by the wrapper
and how much is left to the miniport?

Any input is highly appreciated.
