AH! Thanks for pointing this out. I hadn’t see it.
In case folks aren’t aware, this is the new servicing mechanism for KMDF. Like .Net before it, versions of KMDF will now be distributed via WU.
You will either greet this news with enthusiasm (“Look! The new version of KMDF will get pushed to all my customers, so any bugs in the previous wrapper will be automagically fixed!”) or you will consider this to be yet another reason why we should be able to statically link our drivers (“Ugh! A new version of KMDF – that I have not yet tested with my driver – will get pushed to my customers, so my driver could get broken!!”).
